The Nigerian Government has warned against the procurement of COVID-19 vaccination cards through shady means, referred to as ‘Black market’.

Chairman, Presidential Steering Committee, Boss Mustapha gave the warning in Abuja at the National briefing.

He said vaccination records and certificates would be verified and culprits would be apprehended

This should serve as a warning to those criminally minded persons to desist because they will be prosecuted accordingly,” he said

He also advised travelers leaving the country to be conversant with the Travel Protocols of all Countries of origin, transit and destination.

According to him, this has become necessary because of comments and reports in the media that some citizens are denied boarding due to lack of pre-departure protocol compliance.

Others returning home also complained about requirements to be met. The protocols are clear and simple and they should be observed accordingly,” he said.

The Chairman stated that the National and International Travel Protocol portal have been upgraded to meet existing protocol and the demands of travelling public.

He adds that the portal is now on and running smoothly.
