COVID-19: NPHCDA vaccinates 14 million persons in 36 states

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has said 14,713,491 of the total eligible individuals targeted for the COVID-19 vaccination are fully vaccinated with the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.

The NPHCDA also disclosed that 22,153,907 of the total eligible individuals targeted for COVID-19 vaccination are partially vaccinated.

This was disclosed by the agency  this while giving an update on the COVID-19 vaccination as of April 22, 2022, via its official Twitter handle @NphcdaNG.

For fully vaccinated persons, Jigawa leads the states with the highest number with 2,305,376; followed by Kano – 2,290,366; Lagos – 1,164,912; Nasarawa – 1,080,822; Oyo – 636,406; Ogun; 588,319; Kaduna – 561,478.

Osun is eighth in fully vaccinated rates with 509,489; Adamawa – 388,661; Delta – 380,068; Kwara – 352,268; Sokoto – 344,109; Kastina – 328,625; Zamfara – 294,575; FCT – 283,686; Rivers – 281,136; Ondo – 243,004; Cross River – 225,249; Gombe – 209,093; Ekiti – 201,695.

Others include, Kebbi – 184,900; Bauchi – 179,599; Abia – 180,621; Plateau – 147,069; Niger – 142,532; Benue – 143,675; Borno – 131,735; Yobe – 122,098; Anambra – 119,916; Imo – 116,971; Taraba – 110,729; Edo – 106,959; Akwa Ibom – 94,804; Kogi – 92,768; Enugu – 91,376; Ebonyi – 54,055; Bayelsa – 24,347.

Kano leads the states with the highest number of partially vaccinated persons with 3,274,000; followed by Jigawa – 2,774,777; Lagos – 1,586,567; Nasarawa – 1,318,381; Kaduna – 1,316,681; Oyo – 972,412; Ogun – 966,129, Osun; 634,639.

Zamfara is ninth in partially vaccinated rates with 584,188, Delta – 572,651; Kastina – 535,896; Kwara – 517,969; FCT – 498,032; Rivers – 490,029; Sokoto – 449,244; Ondo – 428,104; Adamawa – 403,596; Cross River – 372,900; Niger – 364,762; Bauchi – 352,105; Kebbi – 310,042.

Others include, Ekiti – 307,178; Benue – 303,922; Plateau – 269,866; Gombe – 255,878; Kogi – 241,960; Borno – 238,227; Yobe – 231,704; Taraba – 223,639; Enugu – 221,166; Edo – 215,229; Abia – 210,926; Akwa Ibom – 201,510; Anambra – 191,360; Imo – 155,531; Ebonyi – 103,358; Bayelsa – 59,346.

NPHCDA in the update said, “Every day is an opportunity to take responsibility against COVID-19. Protect yourself, your family, and your community.”
