Cross River Governor Congratulates Winner of Edo State Guber Polls

The Governor of Cross River State in Southern Nigeria, Bassey Otu has congratulated the winner of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo.

Governor Otu, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nsa Gill, described the triumph of the All Progressive Congress, APC at the just concluded gubernatorial election in Edo State as a victory well deserved.

Governor Otu commended the people of Edo State for turning out to cast votes for APC’s Okpebholo, an indication that Nigeria was deepening and gaining more grounds.

Otu said, “the outcome of the election underscored the importance of citizens exercising their democratic prerogative and the consequential impact it wields on the political landscape of our nation.”

Governor Otu expressed gratification that Edo State was finally aligned with Cross River State under the All Progressives Congress in the region, stressing, “it is a promising indication of unity and collaboration that will fortify the south-south’s position in national politics.”

Governor Otu further described Okpebholo victory “as a testament to diligence, dedication, and unwavering commitment to public service, accentuating the party’s fundamental values and principles.”

He expressed the hope that Senator Okpebholo would uphold these ideals as he steers Edo State towards a brighter future and felicitated Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on APC’s victory in Edo State, noting that it further depicts the success of his Renewed Hope agenda for the nation.
