Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR) in Adamawa State has donated a new 300KV transformer to Bare community in Numan Local Government Area as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.

The donation is aimed at restoring electricity to the area, which was thrown into darkness after vandals damaged electrical infrastructure.

According to the company’s management, the transformer will be installed alongside the reconnection of wires on utility poles that were previously destroyed.

Speaking on the initiative, General Manager, Operations, Dangote Sugar Refinery, Bello Dan-Musa, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to improving the lives of people in its host communities.

“We are dedicated to enhancing livelihoods, boosting local economies, and fostering sustainable development among the communities within which we operate,” he said.

The return of electricity to Bare community is expected to benefit the newly commissioned Pages of Hope Library, established by the Dr Lee Foundation USA, which supports underprivileged children.

DSR, located in the southern senatorial district of Adamawa State, operates near several communities across five local government areas and has consistently executed CSR projects to support local development.
