Davido, Burna Boy, others shortlisted for MOBO Award nominations
Nigerian superstars have dominated the Best African category for the 2024 MOBO awards in the 2024 MOBO awards nominations list.
Nigerian superstars Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Rema, Asake, Adekunle Gold, and Ayra Starr all earned nominations in the prominent awards list. Also gospel artist, Limoblaze and producer P2J were also shortlisted.
Joining the Nigerian contingent are South African star Tyla, Swaziland hitmaker Uncle Waffles, and Cameroonian-American sensation Libianca.
The MOBO Awards are an annual British music award presentation honouring achievements in “music of black origin”, including hip hop, grime, UK Drill, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music. will be taking place in Sheffield for the first time ever next year, at the Utilita Arena Sheffield on 7 February 2024.
