Davido congratulates Kenya’s William Ruto as court upholds election

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, CEO of DMW records, Davido has reacted to the affirmation of Kenya’s William Ruto as President-Elect by the Supreme Court.

The Court on Monday affirmed the victory of the President-elect, Ruto in the election held in August.

Though he was declared the winner of the election, his rival, Raila Odinga, filed a suit challenging the results of the election.

Delivering judgement, Chief Justice Martha Koome struck out Odinga’s suit and upheld Ruto’s election.

Shortly after the news broke out, The CEO of DMW records, David Adeleke aka Davido tweeted and congratulated the president-elect as well as the people of Kenya.

“Congratulations to Dr William Samoei Ruto on being declared 5th President of the Republic of #Kenya @WilliamsRuto. Also, Congratulations to the people of Kenya! DEMOCRACY WINS AGAIN,” he said.
