Davido Drops Be There Still Ahead of Highly Anticipated 5th Album

Nigerian music star Davido has released a new single, Be There Still, as fans eagerly await his fifth studio album, 5IVE.

The song, dropped on Friday, blends Afrobeat with contemporary sounds.

The five-time Grammy-nominated singer announced the release on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, @davido, posting, “Midnight we feast” just before the song went live.

Be There Still boasts top-tier production, featuring Marvey Muzique, DJ Maphorisa, and Black Culture, with mixing handled by D-RO.

Davido previously announced to eager fans that his highly anticipated fifth album, 5IVE, will be released on April 18.

As a lead-up to the album, the singer had earlier dropped two singles: Funds, featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, and Awuke, featuring YG Marley.

Funds delivers an electrifying collaboration, blending Odumodublvck’s raw lyricism with Chike’s smooth melodies, all tied together by Davido’s signature energy.

Describing 5IVE, Davido said it reflects his “story, truth, and growth.”

“My people! The journey continues in 2025 with my new album, 5IVE! This one is straight from the heart – my story, my truth, my growth,” he shared.
