Defence Minister Meets Newly Appointed Service Chiefs

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has received the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff and the three Service Chiefs during a maiden courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry of Defence, Ship House, Abuja.

The visit, described as symbolic, reaffirmed the Minister’s commitment to building a cohesive defence leadership anchored on trust, collaboration, and shared purpose

It also signalled the beginning of a renewed drive toward unified strategy and decisive action in protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity and national interests under the guidance of President Bola Tinubu.

According to a statement signed by the Minister’s Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mati Ali, those in attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Olusola Oluyede; the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Wushishi Shaibu; the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Abbas; and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sunday K. Aneke.

The newly appointed Service Chiefs were also hosted by the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, at his office in Abuja.
