The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mustapha Ahmed has restated the commitment of the agency to humanitarian response as Nigeria celebrates Democracy Day
He made the call in a Press Statement.
According to him, the occasion symbolizes the indomitable spirit of Nigerians in shaping their collective destiny.
“It serves as a reminder of our commitment to fostering unity, embracing diversity and charting a path towards a brighter future. Together with all Nigerians. We strive towards a nation where every voice resonates. Every life is valued, and every community flourishes.“
He emphasised the need to pay homage to the sacrifices made by the founding fathers and valiant individuals who fought for democratic rights.
“On this momentous occasion. Let us renew our pledge to uphold the core principles of democracy: justice, equity, and inclusivity.
“NEMA stands tall in its mission to confront challenges head-on, deliver prompt assistance and foster resilience in the face of adversities.“
Mr Ahmed, therefore, enjoined Nigerians to continue to build a nation they can truly be proud of.
