DEPOWA President Supports Wounded Soldiers In Kaduna State

The President, Defence and Police officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs Oghogho Musa has donated consumables and relief items to the sick and wounded soldiers at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna.

Oghogho said the soldier’s sacrifices to the nation would never be in vain, recalling how she had visited the wounded soldiers in 2023.

 

She explained that it was the second time she was visiting, adding that, “by God’s grace, i keep will coming. Some people have been here for ten good years and they need visits, they need encouragement.”

“These are people that have served this nation, because of them, we are able to stay here today. A lot of people are moving around and so they need encouragement, our support and presence.”

The President explained that as DEPOWA members, the purpose of the visit was to pray along with the wounded soldiers for God’s healings.

 

Earlier, the acting Chief Medical Director, 44 Army Hospital, Brigadier General Godwin Ogoh appreciated DEPOWA for the humanitarian service and good gesture.

Ogoh said the wounded- in-action soldiers were brought from the Northeast and Northwest regions for proper medical care .

“The wounded- in-action soldiers are people who stood firm for the nation and fought to ensure we are all fine. We as a hospital will continue to give our best to see that they all recover.” Ogoh said.

Some of the items donated included consumables, blankets, detergents, toiletries and cash, among others.
