Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has flagged off the distribution of rice palliatives support for the seven states in Northwestern Nigeria.

Jibrin who led the Federal Government Committee for the distribution, said the palliative was in fulfillment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication in easing the hardship of Nigerians.

He explained that the rice palliatives are to be given to the needy across the communities in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa and Zamfara States.

The Deputy Senate President disclosed that the Federal Government Committee for the rice distribution is composed of representatives from other political parties across the states to ensure fairness, equity and accountability.

The President has done well by giving out palliatives. But the problem was that, the palliative supports were not fairly distributed that is why the President changed the strategy of distribution.

“We are here to distribute the palliatives in an equitable manner and we are considering committees at the grassroots.”

Jibrin who noted the concerns of President Tinubu about the conditions and challenges facing Nigerians said his economic blue print is poised at addressing them.

He disclosed that President Tinubu has promising policies that are geared towards uplifting Nigeria’s economic prosperity and revamping industrialization opportunities of Nigeria.
