A Public Affairs Analyst in Kwara State, David Ehindero has urged the Federal Government to increase funding of research to find indigenous solutions to the challenges facing Nigeria.

Ehindero who is also an Author and a Chartered Public Administrator made the appeal during a chat with newsmen over the weekend in Ilorin the Kwara State capital North Central Nigeria.

He explained that most Public Office Holders also do not have regard for research works as they are reluctant to release money for research projects.

The Analyst advised governments at all levels to make use of artisans in various fields to develop Nigeria adding that the country is rich in human resources.

According to him, most of the graduates in Nigerian Universities are not employable as they do not have home grown solutions to the technological problems facing the country.

Speaking on the current situation of book reading in Nigeria, Ehindero lamented that reading culture has disappeared among the youths in the country, which he said had become worrisome.

He advised young people to focus on reading if they desire to become good writers.

Ehindero suggested that the National Assembly should enact a law that would promote book reading among Nigerians and add value to the reading culture.
