Nigeria’s D’Tigers gained sweet revenge over Uganda with a crushing  95-69 win at the FIBA 2023 World Cup African qualifiers.

It is their second win in the tournament.

The win sees Nigeria advance to the next round of qualifiers as well as topping their group.

The Ugandans earlier stunned D’Tigers in August to knock the Nigerians out of the 2021 FIBA AfroBasket championship in Rwanda.

But this time, revenge was indeed served cold in Benguela, Angola.

Veteran captain Ike Diogu rolled back the years by dishing out a devastating 27-points.

Ben Uzoh joined the fray with a cool 10-points and 6-assists as the Nigerian basketballers had a filled day netting 3-pointers to the astonishment of the Ugandans.

Kid wonder Ugonna Uzodinma joined in the act by adding 10-points as well.

In the other group match, Mali beat Cape Verde 64-58 to finish second behind Nigeria.
