Ebonyi: Agency partners with Police to improve security

The National Orientation Agency NOA has collaborated with Nigeria Police in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria to improve security in the state.

The NOA State Director of National Orientation Agency, Elder Mathew Odono disclosed this when the Agency paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Mrs Augustina Ogbodo at the State Police Headquarters in Abakaliki the State Capital.

The visit was to strengthen the synergy between  NOA and the Police in actualizing their aim of being in the State.

Elder Odono said Ebonyi State is faced with insecurity and there is every need to work with the Police to achieve a common goal of peaceful existence in the State.

“NOA and Police need a serious collaboration to track criminals. As a matter of fact, NOA has their staff in the 774 Local Government Areas across the Country and with the collaboration of the Police, a lot would be achieved security-wise

“Security should be the foundation of every Government developmental activity, without security, these activities can be shattered just in a minute. That was what informed the visit to the CP. Odono explained.

For her part, the Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi State, Mrs Augustina Ogbodo said she was delighted to receive the Management of NOA in her office.

She said it was a good development for NOA and the Police to come together as a team to fight crime.

“Policing is now the Business of everybody, if you see something, you should say something and NOA is a veritable instrument in doing that.

The CP called on the Citizenry to put hands together to move Nigeria forward by fighting crime collectively.

In appreciation, The Head of Department (HOD) in charge of Special Duties and Local Government Operations, in Ebonyi State NOA Directorate, Mr Ogbuinya Elias, on behalf of the Agency expressed his happiness over the warm reception given to NOA by the CP.

Ogbuinya prayed that God shall continue to give Nigeria Police all the necessary protection and divine Providence to fight crime to the end.

The HOD encouraged the CP to continue in the good work she is doing in the State.
