Ebonyi Government collaborates with MSME to improve economy

Ebonyi State Government Southeast Nigeria has organized Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises stakeholders’ meeting to discuss a way forward in economic emancipation in the State.

The State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr Steven Odoh disclosed this during the meeting at Ochudo Centenary City in Abakaliki the State Capital.

Dr Odoh said the meeting was called to work out modalities on how to make things easy for people who are in MSME in the State.

“We are here to encourage MSMEs to improve the economy of the State”, he said.

“The meeting is also to know how Raw Material Research and Development Council of Nigeria RMRDCN can help exporters to improve their businesses in the state”, he added.

Partnership
The State Coordinator, Raw Material Research and Development Council of Nigeria, Mr Ogaraku Toniaustin said he is ready to partner with Ebonyi State Government to improve the economy of the State.

The Central Bank of Nigeria CBN Head of Development Finance officer, Mr Ahamkaha Chijioke, represented by CBN Desk Officer, Mr Ezinne Okereke assured that CBN has a lot of packages to be exploited by the MSME, ranging from intervention fund for non oil exportation facilities to CBN anchors borrowers program.

The Manager, Bank of Industry BOI in the State, Mr Asiegbu Chukwudi called on Ebonyi people both home and abroad who have business initiatives to organise themselves in order to access money from the bank for their business.

The State Coordinator, Feed the nation Technical  Company, Mr onyebuchi Ogbuzuru said those who are afraid of how to repair their machines in the case of break down should relax their minds as Feed the Nation Technical Company is there to put their machines to use at all times.
