Ebonyi Government Rewards Outstanding Ex-Corps Member

The Ebonyi state Government under the leadership of Governor Nweze Umahi, has honoured a 2020 Batch B stream 1 corps member, Mr Abraham Solomon Owutoshi, Eb/ 2020 B/ 0203, with a State  Award for distinguishing himself during the service year.
Presenting the Award in his office, the Chairman, National Youth Service Corps NYSC of the state’s governing board and also the Commissioner for youths and sports congratulated the corps member on behalf of the State Government for an outstanding performance  during the service year.
Akpuenika was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr Ben Okike.
Mr Okike praised his numerous contributions and effort towards the betterment of the people and the development of the state,  explaining that  “there is reward in good work”.
The state coordinator NYSC Ebonyi, Mrs Bamai Mercy eulogised the ex corps member for heeding to the call of community Development Service, which started in the camp and praised him for making NYSC proud.
Bamai  encouraged other corps members to toe the path of Abraham.
Abraham Solomon Owutoshi, hails from Nasarawa state, a mathematics graduate from  the University of Abuja,” he said
He was posted to Rescue and friends foundation school in Abakaliki and his contributions include: “Installation of 7 street solar lights, at Udemezue street Okpa Ugwu Abakaliki. Conversion of abandoned mono bore hole into Electrical Installation of 2 Over head Tanks for the people, Conducted Mathematics Quiz competition for various Schools in the State and  awarded the ten (10) winners free Jamb  and WAEC registration and the last ten free WAEC registration, she said.
He was presented with Honours Award certificate and a cash Award of#300 thousand Naira.The excited Solomon was full of praises for the State Government and the NYSC, thanking them for recognising his efforts.
Mrs Mercy appreciated the Government and good people of Ebonyi, for the honour done to the corps member even when he has passed out, stating that it spur others to embark on Community Development Service projects.
