The Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Council, has organised a-five day sensitisation workshop on health and education.
Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga made this known to Journalists while marking the end of the sensitisation workshop at Ugbodo the Council Headquarters, Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria.
The Chairman said the workshop would help to revertalised both Education and healthy sectors in the State.
“This Health and Education program has been going on since 19th-23rd of July, 2021, it’s in line with the directive of the Governor of the State to ensure that no one is educationally inept, mentally and physically imbalance”
“I urge the stakeholders of health and education who are have been participating in this workshop to put it into practice to make life better for the people of Ebonyi State”. She said.
She called on the teachers to become more serious on their duties as she will henceforth be going out to schools for monitoring.
“I will know if you have learnt anything in this workshop by the time I visit your schools,” Nwogbaga stated
The Acting Chairman, Universal Basic Education Board, Mr Blessing Ezeoke charged teachers to inculcate in Children good virtues for better tomorrow.
“If we fail to impacted positively on our children today, it will affect the society negatively tomorrow,” she said.
The Executive Secretary Ebonyi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Catherine Barry-Oko advised the health Workers to always work in line with the ethics of health profession.
The Secretary, Local Government Education authority, Mr Steven Ofoke promised to carry all the teachers along in all he is doing to ensure enhancement in education.
One of the health workers, Mr Chima Patrick thanked the organisers of the workshop and pledged to make good use of what he has learnt.
Mr Odene Chukwudi of Ugbodo Community Primary School said expressed her joy about the event, on behalf of the teachers of the council.
