Ebonyi Government Trains 100 Youths On Agricultural Skills

The Governor of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Mr Francis Nwifuru has sent 100 Youths on Agricultural skills training to enable them become rich and become employers of Labour who will help to eradicate poverty in Ebonyi State and to ensure food security.

 

The Governor said he embarked on the train to reduce crime and improve productivity among Ebonyi youths

 

This is the first batch of the training which is targeted at 100 persons.

 

The Governor who was represented in the event which held at Remeritona Hotel Abakaliki the State Capital by the State Commissioner for Human Capital Development, Mrs Ann Aligwe said the Governor in his leadership mantra of people’s Charter of needs has decided to impact on people through both academic and skill development.

 

Mrs Aligwe said the the training is targeted at 1000 persons at the end but will be going in batches.

 

The Governor really want to empower you people to become rich on your own.

God has sent the Governor Francis Nwifuru to empower Ebonyi people to grow from zero to hero.

 

“It is better to teach people on how to do Agricultural skills to build you for tomorrow to remove poverty in the state”. She said.

 

She said the training will be going on at Master Skill Development Located in Enugu State, Southeast Nigeria.

 

The Consultant of Master Skill Development, situated at the back of Enugu State University, Dr Onyemuche Nnamani, thanked the Governor for being a visionary Leader who has decided to curbed poverty out of the State.

 

I was in china in 1999 and I discovered that many people there were using bicycles and motorcycles as means of transportation because of poverty but when I went back there in 2019, I discovered that they are using good cars instead of bicycles and motorcycles, meaning that the Government of the Country has empowered them. That is exactly what Governor Nwifuru is doing in Ebonyi State”. Nnamani said.

 

He urged the trainees to pay attention and get the skills as they will be properly taken care of even though as the manager of the Master Skill Development, “I have been appointed by Nigeria’s President, Ahmed Tinubu as the Secretary Police Service Commission but I have handed over to a better person who will take charge of the training in the Company “

 

The General Manager, Community and Social Development Program in the State State, Mr James Iron thanked the Governor for empowering the Youth on self reliance through Agriculture.

 

One of the beneficiaries, Miss Uchaji Chioma on behalf of other said they are going to pay good attention so that they can help the Governor to actualize the good dreams he has for Ebonyi people.
