Ebonyi: Lawmaker Kama Organizes Free Medical Outreach For 25,000 Patients

The Lawmaker representing Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo Federal Constituency, Dr Nkemkanma Kama has flagged off his annual medical outreach for over 25,000 constituents for 2024 session.

Kama disclosed this during the flagged off at Oshiri Community in Onicha Local Government Area of the State.

The Medical Outreach is targeted at eradicating diseases that would killed his Constituents silently.

The Lawmaker expressed happiness over the turnout of his Constituents to benefit from his gesture.

“Last year, we were able to treat over 16,000 patients who were mainly on eye problems but this year, we have expanded to various ailments like cancer screening, surgery and X-ray.

“This year, we are going to treat Over 25,000 people with different ailments with those who will be referred to tertiary health institutions for proper medical attention,” Kama said.

The Lawmaker said the outreach will continue till when there will be in every corner to treat people adequately

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Moses Ekuma represented by Dr Lawrence Ezego commended the Lawmaker who is complementing the efforts of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Mr Francis Nwifuru who is turning the State to Medical tourist Center.

The Stakeholders from Oshiri Community, Mr Samuel Mgbota and John Igboke expressed Joy over the Lawmaker who is fulfilling his campaign promises, especially in the area of Health.

They prayed for God’s blessings upon the Lawmaker.
