The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has cautioned the 2022 Batch ‘B stream ‘1’ passing out corps members to always exhibit Honesty in all their dealings even as they are passing out to go to the society to positively affect the society.
The NYSC State Coordinator Mrs Mercy Bamai gave this advised during the passing out at the corps Secretariat in Abakaliki the State Capital.
Bamai said by being truthful and honest, the society will automatically change for good.
She encouraged all the corps members to be the Ambassadors of Nigeria where ever they found themselves.
However, she debunked the ongoing rumor that gun men shot a corps member dead.
She said“We got information that a corps member was shot dead, immediately, we rushed to the lodge where we discovered that the guy was not a serving corps member, rather the guy by name Onwachei Kelvin was dwelling among other corps members pretending to be a serving corps member at Winners Corps Members’ Lodge”.
She said the dead body has been deposited in the mortuary.
The total number of the Passing out Corps Members For this batch are 905, out of which, Males are 285, Females are 620.
Consequently, 11 Corps Members were extended while 5 absconded.
