The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria have elected Mr Peter Nwele as the new State party chairman.
The Chairman of the electoral Committee, Mr Ugonna Ogbonna disclosed this to Journalists immediately after the election which took place at the party’s State Secretariat in Abakaliki the State Capital.
Ogbonna said the election was peaceful and well coordinated.
“I want to commend the people of Ebonyi State for their peaceful disposition during the election. The election was so transparent, free and fair” he said.
The national PDP Chairman Southeast Zone, Mr Ali Odefa urged the State PDP Chairman- elect to work hard and bring together all the stakeholders and members of the party in the State.
On his part, the State PDP Chairman- elect, Mr Nwele Peter promised to run an all inclusive government to ensure that every member of the party is happy.
Nwele said PDP as the opposition party in the State will continue to give the necessary advice to the Government to ensure that Ebonyi people and Nigerians are happy.
