The Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi has built 78 houses and donated 10 million naira for the completion of Saint Micheal Catholic parish.

The Senator also gave out five vehicles and 100 motorcycles to ease the means of transportation of his constituents.

The Senator disclosed this during an empowerment and thanksgiving program held at St Micheal Catholic Parish, Mbeke Ishieke in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria.

In my budget, I voted over 500 million naira to empower my people to start businesses within my zone.

“Today five stakeholders have received Toyota Corolla and 100 persons have gotten motorcycles. Very soon, we are going to launch our scholarship program. The scholarship has been in place but now that I have become a Senator, we need to enlarge the coast so that many people will benefit from the scholarships” Nwebonyi said.

The Senator promised to put smiles on the faces of his constituents through his empowerment programs.

Senator Nwebonyi had earlier in the last week of November 2023 empowered about 235 persons in Abakaliki the State capital.

The Thanksgiving/Empowerment program started with a church service led by the Bishop of Abakaliki Catholic Diocese, His Lordship Peter Nworie Chukwu.

The program was attended by the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin of the All Progressives Congress, the former Minister of Power and Steel, Chief Godwin Ogbaga, Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Princess Patricia Obila amongst others.
