The Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Mr Stanley Okoro Emegha has condemned the burning of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC office located at Izzi Local Government Headquarters Iboko
Okoroemegha told journalists in Abakaliki the State capital that the security outfits in the State are already on it to fish out the perpetrators of the act.
The APC Chairman who is also the State Security Consultant added that the law must handle the perpetrators accordingly.
“We are going to boost the security in the hot areas of the State, we cannot allow hoodlums been used by the opposition parties who have never seen anything good in the current administration to continue to destroy things for us”, he added.
He called on Ebonyi People to help in securing the State by reporting suspected movement in their areas.
“We are going to put a stop to such incidents, APC will win in the State and nobody will be allowed to deter the ordained victory”, he added.
Meanwhile the State Chairman of Young Progressive Party YPP, Mr Stanley Oyibe said YPP as one of the opposition parties in the State distances itself from the allegation
He maintained that whoever has hand in the destruction of the INEC office should be dealt with by the law. Oyibe however expresses concern about the negative effects of the inferno on the forthcoming general election.
