The All Progressive Congress APC in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has flagged off its Governorship campaign at Iboko Izzi Local Government Area of the State.
The Campaign is expected to go round the 13 Local Government Areas of the State.
The Leader of the Party in the State, the Governor of the State, Engr David Umahi expressed Joy over the mammoth Crowd who came out en mass to support the Party and Francis Nwifuru, the party’s Gubernatorial flag bearer.
Umahi said “I am convinced today by the crowd, this has shown that you really want your son from Izzi, Francis Nwifuru to be the next Governor of the State. I urge you to go back to polling boot and deliver Nwifuru, Onyekachi Nwebonyi for Senate and others who are contesting under the platform of APC”
“There will be continuity of all the developments going on in the State. Ebonyi people will continue to rejoice because the foundation has been laid and everybody will benefit from it,” he added.
The Governor showered prayers upon all the Candidates contesting under the party.
The APC Chairman of the State, Mr Stanley Okoroemegha during the event urged the people of the State to remain steadfast with the party.
Okoroemegha promised to lead the party till victory is assured.
The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Party, Mr Francis Nwifuru thanked all who have come to show him solidarity.
Nwifuru pledged to carry Ebonyi people to the Land filled with milk and honey.
“This is our party, we don’t have any other party except APC, therefore, it behooves on us to deliver on our mandate,” Nwifuru added.
