Ebonyi State: APC Gubernatorial Candidate Promises Jobs to Youths, Women

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state, South-east Nigeria, Mr. Francis Nwifuru, has promised to create employment opportunities for youths and women in the state.
Mr. Nwifuru made this promise during the his campaign rally in Afikpo North Local Government Area of the state.
“I will make Ebonyi people happy and create employment opportunities for youths and women.
“I will make the environment very conducive for business to thrive and to run an all-inclusive governance,” Nwifuru promised.
He urged all Ebonyi people to support him to become the governor, pledging to fulfill his manifestos.
On his part, the State APC chairman, Mr. Stanley Okoroemegha, expressed the APC’s readiness to deliver all the candidates contesting under the party.
“Afikpo people are known for honesty and as such they are going to deliver on the mandate given to them,” he said.
The chairman, Afikpo North Local Government Area, Mr. Uchenna Ibiam, thanked the Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi for empowering the youths above their expectations.
“It is only in this administration of Engr. David Umahi that youths are given recognition.
“As you can see, youths are now in the National Assembly, State Assembly; are now Local Government Council Chairmen, just to mention a few.
“In the past, all the above positions used to be filled with elderly people but today, Umahi has recognized us,”said Ibiam.
Ibiam promised to work hard to ensure that the party wins all their contested positions in the state.
