Ebonyi State Governor Approves N100,000 Christmas Bonus to Workers

The Governor of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Mr Francis Nwifuru has approved one Hundred thousand naira for each of the Ebonyi State Workers.
Governor Nwifuru gave this approval during the Elders and Widows party held at the State Christian Ecumenical Center in Abakaliki the State Capital.
The Governor said he was elected to come and put smiles on the citizens of the State.
“We were elected to come and serve the people of the State and to manage their economy for them. That we have been elected doesn’t make us better than them but so that the will of God will be fulfilled”. Nwifuru added.
Nwifuru said he is going to have a meeting with all the Local Government Council Chairmen to ensure that the welfare of the Local Government workers is also taken care of.
During the occasion, the Former Nigeria Minister for Power and Steel Chief Godwin Ogbaga while proposing the toast of the day thanked Nwifuru for paying all the outstanding retirement benefits to Ebonyi retired workers in the State
“The payment of the retired workers’ benefits shows that the young Governor, Mr Francis Nwifuru has respect for elders in the State because he has prolonged their lives”. Ogbaga added.
He prayed for God’s grace, wisdom and Providence upon Governor Nwifuru.
There was a motivational ovation for the Governor on the pronouncement of the one hundred thousand naira for the workers.
