The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it is ready for tomorrow’s presidential and National Assembly elections in Ebonyi state, South-east Nigeria, while promising credible polls.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mrs Onyeka Ugochi, stated this at the INEC State Headquartres in Abakaliki, the state capital.
‘Both sensitive and non-sensitive materials have been distributed to the 13 local government areas of the state.
‘We are good to go; everything is intact. I urge Ebonyi people to maintain peace and order throughout the polls,’ she said.
She added that the Commission has been working in synergy with security agencies to ensure adequate security before, during and after the polls.
She lauded the Nigerian Government for the orderliness of the exercise so far.
