Economic Challenges: NLC protests in Ebony State

The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC has organised a protest to call on the attention of the Nigerian Government to end the economic challenges in the country

The protest took place on Tuesday round the whole of  Abakaliki capital city.

The NLC State Chairman, Professor Oguguo Egwu said  the Prices of things have increased yet nothing is been considered for the workers and the entire population.

Professor Oguguo added that Ebonyi working are saying no to hunger and starvation in the land.

“We must continue to struggle and fight for the general wellbeing of all Nigerians until the right thing is done”.

He therefore called on Nigeria Government to come to the aide of the workers and the entire poor Nigerians.

For his part, the State Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities, Ebonyi State University Chapter, Professor Ikechukwu Igwenyi said the protest is to register the current hardship among Nigeria.

He added that the current minimum wage could not buy a bag of rice
