The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Omar Alieu Touray,has received letters of credence from four newly appointed Ambassadors, at the ECOWAS Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.
The event highlights a significant step in reinforcing diplomatic relations between ECOWAS and its international partners.

Following the presentation, President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Touray had discussions with the Ambassadors, focusing on areas of existing and potential cooperation aligned with the Commission’s four strategic objectives.
He further reaffirmed ECOWAS’s commitment to strengthening partnerships and expanding collaborative efforts with their respective countries to ensure shared prosperity and sustainable development across the region.

The newly accredited envoys include, Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Andrey Podelyshev, the, High Commissioner of Canada, Pasquale Salvaggio, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines Mersole J. Mellejor, and Ambassador of Switzerland, Patrick Egloff.
