The ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, has inaugurated a Primary Election and Appeal Petition Committee for the Edo State Gubernatorial election in Southern Nigeria, slated for Saturday, 17th February 2024.

The Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje while inaugurating the committees in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, called on members of the committee to be diligent in carrying out their functions.

Ganduje explained that the committee aims to follow the principle of the APC’s guidelines and strengthen internal democracy in the Party.

The purpose and objectives of this meeting have been outlined by the National Organizing Secretary. What remains for me is to inaugurate the committee. It has been a tradition of APC to hold a constituted body that will undertake the assignment so that at the end of it we will get a good result.

“I would like to inform you that the composition of the two committees, the Primary Election and the Appeal Petition Committees is a product of the National Working Committee according to the constitution and tradition of our party” the national chairman said.

Our party is a fantastic brand, very popular and a good product. It behoves on members of our committee to work in harmony with the local leadership of the party in Edo State to bring up a product that will look like our party and is easily marketable in Edo State. To the glory of God, we will do our best” Governor Hope Uzodimma stated.

Inclusiveness and equity
