The All Progressives Congress, APC has declared last Saturday’s primary governorship election held in Edo State as inconclusive.
APC has however, fixed Thursday 22nd February 2024 for the completion of the exercise.
The Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka in a statement said the National Working Committee, NWC, took the decision during an emergency meeting held on Tuesday at the Party’s National secretariat in Abuja, the nation’s Capital.
Morka further said that after deliberation by NWC on the report of the Edo State Governorship Primary Election, it resolved that point process was not completed.
Controversies has trailed the primary election in which three winners emerged.
Recall, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State who heads the APC election committee of the State announced Dennis Idahosa as the winner of the poll, and Senator Monday Okpebholo was declared winner by the State Returning Officer of APC, Mr. Stanley Ogbuaje .
Anamero Dekeri also became the third aspirant that claimed the victory.
