Edo State Governor Commissions Waste Management Equipments

The Edo State Governor in Southern Nigerian, Senator Monday Okpebholo has commissioned some waste management equipment for the State’s Waste Management Agency in line with his administration’s focus of ensuring a cleaner environment.

 

This is a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Fred Itua and made available to Journalists.

 

Mr Itua explained that, Governor Okpebholo was accompanied by his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa; Secretary to the Edo State Government, Musa Ikhilor; and other top government officials.

 

The Governor Chief Press Secretary noted that the commissioning which took place at the premises of Edo State Waste Management Board within the Government House, saw staff of the board trooping out in solidarity with the Governor.

 

He noted that, Governor Okpebholo assured residents of Edo State that said his administration is set to ensure a cleaner environment which will serve as a motivation to investors “because cleanliness is next to godliness.”

 

Mr Itua explained that the Governor charged staff of the board to protect the equipment, which includes pay loaders, compactors, tippers, and others, are used for the benefit of
