Edo State Set For Handball National Division One League
Benin City in Edo State, Nigeria, is set showcase the best of handballing experience from players across the nation as hosts of National Division One League, scheduled to take place from Saturday, July 22nd – 29th, 2023.
The Media Assistant of the Handball Federation Of Nigeria (HFN), Cosmos Chukwuemeka, said this in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday in Lagos.
He said that two weeks after the successful staging of phase 1 of Ardova Handball Premier League, Edo State were proud sponsors of the National Division One League.
Chukwuemeka said the league organisers were prepared to welcome teams eager to earn promotion into the top tier league. He quoted the Secretary General of HFN, Almu Umar Lambu, saying that teams were expected to arrive Benin City on Saturday, while the games would begin on Sunday.
He urged all teams to ensure they completed all their registrations ahead of the competition, while also wishing them safe journey to Benin City.
The top two teams in the men and women categories, would be promoted to Ardova Handball Premier League 2024.
