Eid-Al-Adha: Anambra Civil Defence Deploys 767 Personnel For Adequate Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, in preparation for hitch free Eid-Al-Adha celebration, has deployed adequate human and material resources with a view to fortifying security across the state before, during and after the celebration.
In a statement released by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Okadigbo Edwin stated that Mr.Edwin Osuala,the state commandant has ordered the deployment of 767 officers and men across the state, to work in synergy with other Security Agencies to intensify the existing proactive, visibility and confidence building policing strategies already in place in the state.
Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and heads of Operational Units are to deploy all operational resources at their disposal to strategic places within the length and breadth of the state including places of worship, markets, receational centres and other Critical Public infrastructure to forestall any attack.
Mr. Osuala emphatically directed all Area Commanders and Divisional Officers,to supervise their subordinates and ensure they demonstrate professionalism and civility in the discharge of duties, in line with Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Audi’s determination to irrevocably commit to upholding the tenets of the rule of law stressing that the Corps would not condone any misuse of power.
The State Commandant while admonishing Muslim faithful and the good people of the state to celebrate Eid- Al-Adha with decorum and moderation, urged residents to be security conscious.
