Eid al-Maulud: Kano Governor Felicitates Muslims

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has called on Muslims to reflect deeply on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, as they celebrate Eid al-Maulud.

The Governor, in his goodwill message, congratulated Muslims in Kano, and across Nigeria as they join the world in marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad, urging them to remain steadfast in promoting peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, Governor Yusuf further appealed to the faithful to use the occasion for sober reflection and to uphold the Prophet’s exemplary values of peace, compassion, and unity in their daily lives.

“I am delighted to felicitate with the Muslim Ummah in Kano and beyond as we mark the noble occasion of Eid-el-Maulud,” Governor Yusuf said.

“May we continue to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s teachings and practices, and may his virtues of peace, love, tolerance, and unity guide our lives and our society.”

He stressed the importance of harmony and peaceful coexistence among people of diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds, adding that prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Kano State and Nigeria remain paramount.
