The Director-General/CEO, Michael Imoudu Institute for Labour Studies, Comrade Issa Aremu has called for peace and justice as a precondition for eradication of poverty and sustainable development.
In a statement marking the Eid Maulud in Ilorin , the Director General said that the point cannot be overstated that the Holy Prophet was truly a messenger of peace, development and enlightenment through the Holy Quran which preaches love, justice and fairness to all.
He therefore called on stakeholders in Nigeria project to emulate the piety, and selflessness as well as the good deeds ( Sunnah) of the Prophet.
According to him, while what he called the forces of darkness and ignorance are promoting dysfunctional conflicts at work places, fueling wars between people and nations, the people of faiths and knowledge must stand up for justice and peace as preconditions for United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of eradication of global poverty and ignorance among others by 2030.
Comrade Aremu said the institute will work for Industrial Peace and Harmony and National Development as part of the mandate of the organization and therefore wished all Muslims Happy Eid Maulud.
