Eid-al-Adha: Police Command deploys measures to protect Gombe residents

 The Gombe State Police Command says it has deployed robust crime prevention measures before, during, and after the Eid-al-Adha celebration.

The command has also reaffirmed its commitment to the protection of the life and property of the citizens.

A statement by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ishola B. Babaita, said officers and men of the Command would be on their toes to rid the State of criminal elements.

The statement said criminal hideouts would be raided and the joint inter-agency surveillance patrols would be on hand to neutralize any likely threats to the peace and security of the State.

It said the patrol would enforce and sustain road traffic regulations within the Gombe Metropolis and its environs.

The Gombe Police Command also called on parents and guardians to be watchful over the movement of their children and wards during the festive period.

“It is necessary to once again call on politicians in the State to adhere to INEC timetable on the schedule of activities for the 2023 General Election and avoid any form of Political campaigns or rallies under any guise at Eid praying grounds,” said CP Babaita.
