Ekiti Assembly member-elect, Ayorinde, canvasses more support for Governor Oyebanji
The House of Assembly member-elect (APC-Ido-Osi II) in Ekiti, Yomi Ayorinde, has called for more support for Gov. Biodun Oyebanji for his successful tenure.
Ayorinde, also a former Board member, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), made the call in Ado-Ekiti, on Friday in his congratulatory message to the governor on the 200 days of his administration.
He lauded the governor for keeping to his campaign promises.
“On behalf of people of my Constituency, I felicitate with our Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, on the occasion of his first 200 days in Office.
“We are using this opportunity to commend you for keeping to your campaign promises and not betraying the trust reposed in you by the people of Ekiti. We are proud of you.
“In just 200 days in office, you have intervened in the provisions of potable water in 177 wards, construction of roads across the state, promt payment of wages, arrears, deductions and regular payment of pension.
“The latest in your administration gesture to Ekiti residents, recruitment and presentation of letters of appointment to over 1,300 newly recruited teachers.
“You, also paid special attention to infrastructure development and creation of friendly political atmosphere in the state,” Ayorinde said.
He promised Ekiti residents that the incoming lawmakers would do everything possible to give their best in accordance with the mandate given to them to support the administration.
According to him, this is to ensure that Ekiti becomes one of the most relevant, among the comity of states.
The lawmaker-elect thanked his constituents and Ekiti residents in general for standing firm with the vision and mission of the governor.
Ayorinde thanked the former Gov. Kayode Fayemi, the elected National Assembly members, party leadership in the state, all leaders and members of APC in the state for standing firm with the governor to ensure his success in office.
“You voted for a better Nigeria, and particularly, a new Ekiti and we are all happy that we have not been let down, rather, it has been development and new thing each day.
“Oyebanji has proved himself to be a reliable man of the people. His government is anchored solely on people and that is where he has been deriving his powers.
“The strong ties he has with the people remain the secret behind all the achievements recorded within this short time in office,” he said.
The assemblyman-elect further thanked the traditional rulers, religious leaders, market men and women, artisans, society groups and youths for their supports to the governor in the past 200 days.
He, therefore, solicited for more in order to enable him to deliver the necessary dividends of democracy to the electorate.
