Ekiti Governor commends APC wards Congresses across Nigeria

The Governor of Ekiti State,  Dr Kayode Fayemi has commended the  just concluded APC  Ward Congress election across Nigeria .

The Ekiti state Governor, who is also the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum stated this during the commissioning of  Bosso Estate 2.7 Kilometers road in Minna Niger state on Tuesday.

He said, “Naturally when you are in a competition, there might be few skemishes along the line but when you speak collectively I think you can give us a pass mark for what has happened”.

The Governor also commended his Niger state counterpart, Alhaji Abubakar Bello for embarking of  road developments across the local governments in the state despite limited resources available in the State.

” It is a demonstration of what we have learnt from our principal President Muhammadu Buhari as he committed himself to infrastructural development which he has passed down to all of us to ensure that we resuscitate and rehabilitate any of the infrastructure within our state and that’s what the governor is doing and he is not doing it to the detriment of other needs of the people as he is reconstructing old and constructing new roads”.

“He hasn’t stop paying the entitlements of the civil servants, pensioners, he has not stopped rebuilding schools, he hasn’t stop working on the health sector,” he explained.

The Ekiti State Governor however commended other Governors in the Country for their tremendous efforts in achieving the yearnings of their people within the resources available to them.

” We meet, reflect and learn from one another which is why we have a forum to focus on peer learning to  exchange ideas, there are things Niger state is doing much better than other states, we sent people down here to learn likewise others States. We share experience with all and that’s why we have been able to Improve collectively on governance situation in our country and things are getting better and more help is on the way,” he said.

Paucity of Funds
The Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello  who mentioned that   paucity of funds has been  a major challenge in actualising most projects,  commended Nigeria’s  President Muhammadu Buhari for approving funds for various infrastructural development across  states.

He  said the commissioned  Bosso Estate  road project was  part of the released fund by  President Buhari  to the state which was judiciously used by the state go approved by the president.

He however appreciated the Ekiti state  Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi for honouring his invitation to  commission one of the  projects in the state.
