As the 2023 general elections draw nearer, a group under the aegis of Abibat Mogaji  Beneficiaries Vanguard for BAT (AMBV4GBAT)  has thrown their weight behind the mandate of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group was formed to be a legacy beneficiary of late Nigerian business magnate and Ìyál’ọ́jà of Lagos, Alhaja Abibat Mogaji, mother of the APC presidential aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

At a press conference organized in Lagos, South-West Nigeria, the group sensitized  voters and the general public to the choice of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s next president, describing him as having the best profile.
Fielding questions from the media, the national co-ordinator of the group, Alhaji Salmon Akorede, said the Abibat Mogaji Beneficiaries Vanguard for BAT declared their support for Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu as they believe in his manifesto, leadership experience, capacity and competence.
“The group wants the best for the country.
“Nigeria needs a leader with pedigree, vision and quality to turn things around going forward.
“We want to let everyone know what we stand for and the roadmap we have to complement other supports nationwide for our candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose mother, Late Alhaja Abibat Mogaji, was a philanthropist to many people in the country while she was alive,” he stated.
On voters’ education, Alhaji Salmon hinted that the group has continued to explore mass mobilization and sensitize voters to get their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC).
“We are encouraging voters to get their PVCs and take advantage of information we share so as to guide them ahead of the election.
“Meanwhile, women in Lagos state are not taking the back seat, but rather playing  active role in the Nigerian politics as a vast majority of them have secured their voters’ card ahead of 2023 elections,” said Alhaji Salmon.
According to Alhaja Taibat Borokini, the market co-ordinator, Mushin Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, the late Abibat Mogaji was an advocate of women’s active participation in politics and so they would continue to be a part of the process.
The market women’s leader pointed out that the women were drumming up support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and this they do by encouraging other women to rally round the APC’s presidential aspirants for next year’s nationwide elections in February 2023.
