Emir of Ilorin Advocates Unity, Peace In Kwara State

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has called for more unity, peace and love among the people of Ilorin Emirate for meaningful development to strive in the community.

The Emir made the call in his palace during the official turbaning of a prominent son of the Emirate and a technocrat, Abdulkadir Nagode as the first Dan Amanan Gari of Ilorin Emirate, North Central Nigeria.

The Monarch noted that titles of such nature are always accorded to people that have contributed in one way or the other to their community and have proven integrity.

He commended the efforts played so far by the recipient and his family in this regards.

The Emir charged Nagode to use his new title to further serve humanity and contribute to the propagation of unity and oneness within Ilorin and Kwara State.

Alhaji Sulu Gambari expressed delight over Nagode’s selection, describing him as deserving of the title in every respect.

He emphasised the need for unity of purpose among elites, regardless of political affiliations, to foster the collective progress of the Emirate.

The traditional ruler used the occasion to offer prayers for the sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate and beseeched Allah to elevate them to enviable positions and bring glory to the community.

The ceremony was attended by prominent personalities from within and outside the state including the representative of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, AbdulRazaq Jiddah; Gaskiyan Ngeri, AbdulGaniyu Cook Olododo; Chairman of Ilorin South Local Government, Nuhu Podo; and Mallam Baba AbdulRazaq, junior brother to the state governor.

Other notable attendees were Lukman Mustapha, CEO of Sobi FM; a Former member of the House of Representatives, Moshood Mustapha; Kuliyan Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Lawyer Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN); Lawyer Adebayo Adelodun (SAN); Dele Belgore ; (SAN):Ambassador Ahmad Sulu Gambari; Sarauniya of Ilorin Emirate, Hajia Muinat Bola Shagaya; and Ambassador Nimota Niniola Akanbi, among others.

The event highlighted the Emirate’s commitment to promoting individuals who demonstrate dedication to the growth, unity, and progress of Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
