EMY Africa honours Cobhams Asuquo

The 8th EMY Africa Awards has honoured multitalented Nigerian singer and pianist, Cobhams Asuquo, with the prestigious Man of Courage Award in a ceremony held in Ghana.

In his heartfelt acceptance speech, Cobhams reflected on the extraordinary courage it took to navigate the challenges of growing up as a blind individual in Africa during the 1980s.

The multi-talented artist captivated guests with his melodious voice and delivered a captivating performance of “We Plenti” alongside Ghana’s talented artist, Efya.

The gifted pianist delighted the audience with a medley of songs, including a heartfelt rendition of “Jailer” by the famous Nigerian singer Asa demonstrating his exceptional musical prowess.
