Company donates solar system to orphanage in Oyo
Nexgen Energy and Allied Services has donated a solar system to an orphanage, Jesus Children Mission Outreach (JCMO) in Ibadan as part of its corporate social responsibilities.

The Inventory Manager of the company, Nneka Festus, who spoke on behalf of the management at the inauguration ceremony, said the provision of the solar system would give the children in the home opportunities to succeed in life.
According to her, the gesture is in line with the company’s objectives of value addition and excellence toward building the next generation.
The company installed a 3.5KWA inverter with 2700Watt of Solar panel and also donated 4000 litres of water tank to the orphanage.
She added that, “The children in the home can now do their assignment and be encouraged to study in pursuit of their education.
“For the management of the home, there are bills that come with using power supply from the national grid that has now be taken off. The cost saved can be channelled to other areas of needs.”
Also, another staff of the company, Mr Noah Ojo, who is an engineer, said having alternative power supply in every home would go a long way to reduce cost incurred on generating set and fuel.
Ojo noted that the company has taken it upon itself to provide affordable and durable green energy, particularly now that there seem to be acute shortage of power from the national grid.
In her response, Dr Rosemary Odigbo of JCMO said the orphanage had suffered epileptic power supply which made life difficult for children.
Odigbo said the solar system would help to reduce the cost spent on fuel and maintenance of generating set and would make the children comfortable.
