Energy Week kicks off in Abuja with focus on sustainability

The NOG Energy Week has kicked off in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, drawing experts from the sector both home and abroad, to deliberate on strategies aimed at redefining Nigeria’s Energy landscape and ensuring its sustainability.

The event, which draws participants from the global energy sector, is holding in Abuja from July 9-13, and would include keynote presentations from leaders in the industry, and roundtable/technical sessions.

The GMD of Nigeria’s National Petroleum Corporation LTD, Mele Kyari would also deliver a keynote address on ‘Redefining Nigeria’s Energy Landscape for a Sustainable Energy Future’.

The conference seeks to establish and ehance collaborations that would help  navigate the nation’s energy pathways for a robust, sustainable tomorrow.

The NOG Energy Week began with a golf tourney in Abuja on Sunday.

Also, there will be a Panel Discussion on ‘The Investors Perspective: Assessing the Attractiveness of Nigeria’s Energy Sector’, to be headlined by Mr Bala Wunti, NNPCL Chief Upstream Investment Officer, NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services.

He will share insights and experience as participants deliberate to shape Nigeria’s energy sector.

Eng. Adokiye Tombomieye, NNPC’s Executive Vice President, Upstream, ‘Defining the Roadmap for the Future of Nigeria’s Upstream Sector’.

Adepeju Adekunle, ‘Effective Strategies in Managing Digital Talent Pipeline in Advancing Technical Skills for Energy Security & Transformation’.

Also, NNPCL’s Executive Vice President for Gas, Power & New Energies, Mohammed A. Ahmed, will be participating in a critical panel discussion on ‘Accelerating Gas Development for Nigeria’s Energy Transition Journey’.


And the Chief Innovation Officer for Research, Technology & Innovation, Muniru Mai, will be leading a pivotal Panel Discussion on ‘Capacity Development for Emerging Opportunities’.
