Former Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Enugu State, Chief John Nwobodo has emerged as the governorship candidate of Accord Party in the state.
Nwobodo who was the sole-candidate during the party’s governorship primary in Enugu emerged through affirmation.
He was declared winner by the Chairman of the electoral committee, Chinasa Nwekeke.
In his acceptance speech, Nwobodo pledged to ensure the welfare and security of Enugu residents. He said that fighting hunger, poverty and diseases will be the major focus of his administration.
He added that his administration will be remembered for ensuring legacies in wealth creation, innovation, security, economy, Infrastructural and efficient public service.
