Following his elevation to the position of head coach at nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Enyimba FC, Yemi Olanrewaju said he is “honoured” to fill the vacancy after the departure of Finidi George.

Olanrewaju was officially confirmed as Enyimba head coach on Tuesday and subsequently handed a one-year contract to lead the club in the upcoming season in the NPFL, President Federation Cup and CAF Confederation Cup.

The 32-year-old coach believes that he has worked behind the scene at Enyimba and have helped to build “a strong foundation” for the playing personnel going into the upcoming season.
