Defending champions Enyimba FC will take on Bendel Insurance in the opening fixture of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba, Abia State.
Runners-up from last season, Remo Stars of Ikenne will clash with Rivers United in another key fixture of match-day one tie. The Sky Blue Stars will travel to Port Harcourt for the game.
Former champions Plateau United will be up against Shooting Stars Sports Club at the Lekan Salami Stadium, in Adamasingba, Ibadan while news boys Sporting Lagos will host Heartland of Owerri in their first-ever NPFL game.
The draw for the new NPFL season, which will kick-off on September 9th 2023, was conducted on Tuesday in Abuja by the organisers of the League.
