Epic Movie, ‘Amina’ makes top ten trends list in 52 countries
‘Amina’ an epic movie built on the life and times of Queen Amina of Zazzau, in northern Nigerian state of Kaduna, which debuted early this month has risen to the top 10 trends list in 52 countries.
Confirming its latest feat, the Director of the epic movie, Izu Ojukwu wrote on Instagram: “Made in 2015, now top 10 in 52 countries, no special feat. Special thanks to the entire cast for this global collaboration.”
The film was successfully released on global streaming platform, Netflix.
Co-produced by ‘Living In Bondage’ writer Okey Ogunjiofor, the historical epic first made headlines in 2017 with the release of its trailer and plans for a theatrical release in the same year.
About four years later, Ojukwu confirmed that it was set for release on the global streaming platform. Netflix.
Starring Lucy Ameh in the lead role alongside Clarion Chukwurah, Ali Nuhu, Ojukwu’s ‘Amina’ centers on the historical figure’s personal journey through love, failures and triumphs.
