Gains in 30 stocks led to bullish close Wednesday at the Nigeria Exchange Group Limited amid bargain hunting and profit-taking activities

The midweek trade had investors gaining over N96 at the Exchange on the market capitalisation of listed equities to close at N59.031 trillion after dropping to N58.935 trillion on Tuesday.

Consequently, the All-Share Index appreciated by 158.44 points, representing a 0.01% increase to close at 97,418.83 basis points higher than the 97,260.39 basis points of the previous day.

The market sentiment as measured by market breadth also closed positive 30 equities on the gainers list relative to 19 decliners.

International Energy Insurance Company Plc led the gainers chart with a 10% profit on its share price to close at N1.32 kobo.

JohnHolt followed with a 9.98% increase on its share price to close at N6.39 kobo then;
Eunisell Limited share price gained 9.88% to close at N10.90 kobo

On the flipside, Regency Alliance Insurance led the losers table with a 10% drop on its share price to close at N8.00 kobo.

DAARCOMM followed with a 7.46% loss on its share price to close at N0.62 kobo; while Sovereign Trust Insurance share price dropped by 6.35% to close at N0.59 kobo.

At the end of the business day, a total of 247.01 million units of shares exchanged hands in 8,305 deals.
