Equities Capitalisation sheds N16 billion

The Equities market closed in the negative territory for the second consecutive day on Tuesday as market indicators dropped by 0.07%.
The market capitalisation shed N16 billion or 0.07 percent to close at N21,474 trillion as against N21,490 trillion recorded on Monday.
The all share index also dropped 0.07% or 30.75 points to close the day at 41,051.63 points compared to 41, 082 .38 points on Monday.
Tuesday’s trading saw a total of 525.006 million shares worth N5.34 million traded in 5,965 deals .
The market sentiment for the day was however positive as the market recorded 43 gainers relative to 21 losers.
Nigerian Brewery topped the gainers chart for the day after it gained. N1.00 to close at N61 followed by Flour mill which gained N1.00 to close N32.00,then NNFM which gained 59k to close at N8.00.
On the losers list, Ardova lost N1.70k to close at N18.00 while Bua cement lost 90k to close at N79.00, followed by UACN which lost 45k to close at N7.90k.
Transcorp had the highest volume of trade as it traded 42,940 million shares valued at N50.240 million followed by JapaulGold which sold 39,588 million shares worth N50.871million.
